Privacy policy.

Plankly is an independent flooring advisory based in Houston, Texas. We don't sell flooring. We help homeowners choose a material and introduce them to local suppliers and installers.

• Contact details you submit (name, email, phone number, ZIP, and any notes or quiz answers about your project) via our forms. Phone is required because the matched provider needs a way to reach you.
• Basic analytics — page views, referrer, and rough location by IP — only if you've accepted analytics cookies. Anonymized IP where possible.
• Marketing attribution — if you arrived from an ad or a search result, we record which campaign or link sent you, plus the page you landed on. It tells us which ads are worth running.
• Cookies — one small localStorage entry to remember your cookie choice; Google Analytics cookies only after opt-in.

• To reply to your submission and introduce you to a Houston-area supplier or installer.
• To send a welcome email and, if you asked us to, a short follow-up about your project.
• To measure which guides actually help homeowners so we can write better ones.

This is the most important part of this policy, so we'll be blunt about it. The whole point of Plankly is to hand you off to someone who can actually do the work. When you submit the quiz, the quote form or the email match form, you tick a box that says:

"I agree that Plankly may share my name, email, phone and project details with one matched flooring contractor or supplier so they can contact me about this project."

That box is required and starts unchecked — if you don't tick it, we can't accept the submission. Here's exactly what that consent means in practice:

• One provider, not a list. We pass your details to a single Houston-area flooring supplier or installer that fits your material, ZIP and budget. We are not a lead marketplace and we don't auction your information to a pile of companies who then all call you.
• What gets shared. Your name, email, phone number, ZIP code and the project details you gave us (rooms, material, square footage, timeline, notes). We don't share your analytics or browsing data with them.
• Why they get it. So they can contact you by email or phone about your project and give you a real quote.
• What happens after. Once we make the introduction, that provider handles your information under their own privacy practices, and any contract is between you and them. Plankly is free for homeowners; flooring professionals may pay Plankly for qualified introductions. Your price and scope are set by the provider.
• Withdrawing consent. Email us before we make the match and we won't share anything. If we've already introduced you, tell us and we'll stop matching you going forward and ask the provider to remove your details.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with a second or third provider without asking you again. We do use Google Ads conversion measurement to see whether a quote request came from an ad click; we do not run retargeting audiences.

• Our small internal team.
• Our hosting, database and email providers, who process data on our behalf under their own security terms.
• Anyone we're legally required to disclose to — a valid legal request, or to protect someone's safety.

• Decline analytics cookies via the banner (already denied by default until you accept).
• Ask us to delete your information: email sales@planklyflooring.com and we'll remove it within a business week.
• Unsubscribe from any email using the link in the footer of that email.
• Withdraw your consent to be matched — email us and we'll stop sharing your details with providers.
• Manage cookies on our cookie policy page.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement with Consent Mode v2. Until you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner, no measurement cookies are set and no personal identifiers are sent. Google Ads cookies are used only to measure conversions, not to build retargeting audiences.
